Exposure timestamp

Also: acquisition timestamp

Definition

A timestamp marking when light hit the sensor (usually exposure start plus half the exposure time), as opposed to when the frame reached the computer.

Host-arrival timestamps include readout, ISP, buffering and driver delay, which vary by milliseconds. Training data needs acquisition time on one shared clock. Ask vendors exactly where each timestamp is generated.
