Hardware trigger
Also: frame sync · FSIN · external trigger
Definition
A shared electrical signal that tells several cameras to start exposure at the same moment.
Sensors such as OV9281 accept an external frame-sync input. The module must route that pin to a connector, and exposure must be controlled centrally; otherwise independent auto-exposure moves exposure mid-points apart even when starts are aligned.
