MIPI CSI-2
Definition
The standard short-reach camera interface between an image sensor and a processor, typically over a ribbon or flex cable under ~30 cm.
Fast, cheap and low-latency, but reach is measured in centimetres. Bandwidth is per lane (roughly 1–2.5 Gbps on D-PHY, SoC-dependent) and ports usually have up to four lanes.
