Definition
Chip pair that converts a camera's parallel MIPI lanes into a single high-speed serial stream for a long cable, and back again at the computer.
The chips are commodity; the engineering is in the boards, power-over-coax filtering, and the Linux driver that configures sensor, serializer and deserializer together.
