Data-collection operations
Egocentric and manipulation data collection for robotics labs — 10,000+ hours a month across five Southeast Asian countries, in commercial and household environments.

Collecting real-world robot-learning data at scale is an operations problem as much as a hardware one: consented sites, trained participants, devices that are charged and clean, fraud and quality control, and reliable upload. Labs in the US and Europe rarely have people on the ground in the markets where this data can be gathered efficiently.
- Site sourcing and employer consent for workplace recording (warehouses, kitchens, light manufacturing, retail).
- Participant recruitment, onboarding and device training.
- Device logistics: approved hardware, head mounts, charging, storage and maintenance.
- Quality control against the lab's protocol: duplicate detection, filler footage, sensitive content, session metadata.
- Capture on the device that fits the task: phones, egocentric glasses and headsets, and tactile gloves.
- Integrated loop with our hardware practice — the people who run your collection also qualify the devices.

Can HOLON run egocentric data collection for our lab in Southeast Asia?
Yes. We collect more than 10,000 hours a month across Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines, in commercial and household environments, covering site consent, participants, device logistics, QA and upload — and we can supply or qualify the capture hardware itself.
Which devices do you collect with?
Whatever the protocol needs: smartphones on head mounts for scale, egocentric glasses and multi-camera headsets for geometry and synchronised IMU, and tactile gloves for contact-rich manipulation.
